Capital History

In 2001, a group of like-minded individuals dreamed of creating a media entity that would reflect their artistic and political interests and deliver high-quality content that would provide an engaging and progressive worldview.í‚  í‚  

Capitalmag.com and Capital Magazine were the result of these efforts.í‚  

The year is now 2006. Times have changed and Capital along with it. As the world becomes less isolated, so does its media. í‚  Whereas our efforts were originally focussed on international distribution to the worldí¢â‚¬â„¢s premiere cultural hubs í¢â‚¬“ including Tokyo, Berlin, Montreal, New York, Toronto, and Vancouver í¢â‚¬“ in Fall 2006, Capital Media is starting over.í‚   Recognizing the power of digital media in shaping a new global culture, Capital will be firmly entrenched in the digital realm.í‚  

We as editors, contributors, and supporters of Capital Media seek to investigate and present facts, ideas, and peoples who lack representation and exposure in other media. We also value alternative viewpoints and perspectives on issues important to society and the environment.
