Cartelera House - Jesse Savath

Submitted by myles on May 1, 2007 - 11:31pm.

My story will be completely different then the next, but I'm sure they're all very interesting. I met Graeme in the last year and already feel a strong bond with him. He has the power to find like-minded individuals with a passion for art and progression as an artist. Cartelera is exactly that. I feel honored to be a part of such a strong movement.

My photography is strange. I didn't go to school or gain any formal training. Instead I just picked up a camera and took shots. Maybe this was a good way to do it or maybe not, but either way I'm doing it now and won't ever stop. What you see in my shots is a direct connection to my imagination. Exploring and seeking out the next shot is how I live. In the rain or snow, in the wind or blazing sun, for me its all about the mission.

As I got into film, I realized my dream í¢â‚¬“ to make a direct connection with composition in my photography to film. I have been working hard to show this and you can see with my newer work more then ever.

jesse has upcoming shows in Vancouver; May 26th at the LES gallery and June 19th at the Elliott Louis Gallery
