Annie Spencer is a new media poet and experience designer living life beyond its margins and writing postcards home about it. Her current artistic practice is dedicated to an expansive game-story approach to trans-media, narrating and curating powerful questions with a unique sense of possibility.

With a background in film and television production, Annie graduated from the Canadian Film Centreí¢â‚¬â„¢s Media Lab, wrote and co-produced a machinima prototype for interactive online broadcast, and has worked as a freelance creative consultant and collaborator in ideation, concept and story development, treatment, scriptwriting, interaction design and market branding for many growing independent media companies across Canada.

She cycles daily from her home on Toronto Island to the Beal Institute for Strategic Creativity at the Ontario College of Art and Design where she examines through full-time research what kind of emerging behaviours around socio-spiritual media inform desirable innovation, as well as makes regular live appearances for lectures, presentations and creative workshops to game developers around the world.
